Drown

I always thought I was an adamant

Nothing on earth could impact on.

Now I have inner dismal sentiment

I'm barely hiding, trying to move on.

At unforgettable and crucial moment

When I should have put life at stake,

I sharply realized that I'm a mortal,

Who had a horrifying choice to make.

 
Split seconds, doubts and indecision,

Screams in my ears sobered me up.

There was no time to make decisions,

There were my friends I had to guard.

This fleeting, but inspiring thought

Filled my lungs up, when I was down.

Helped me to breathe, to stay afloat.

The feel that didn't let me drown.
